Forced To Sleep With One Eye Open

BUGS.

There are bugs literally everywhere in this house. This past week I’ve encountered at least one bug per day and those things are SCARY (well not really, but still they make me jump). The first encounter I had this week was when I walked into the bathroom at 2 AM and there was a big ass spider hanging in front of the mirror that flew straight back up as soon as I turned on the lights. That highkey scared the shit out of me so I decided I didn’t need to use the bathroom at 2 AM. But I also needed to use the bathroom pretty badly, so I decided to use it anyway with the spider inside. It was pretty scary knowing that the spider could jump on me literally any second. The spider was chilling around the bathroom light cover the whole time and I was making sure I wasn’t going to get jumped. I never ended up killing it and left it there for it to jump someone else tomorrow morning. I’m sorry but if you think I’m going to kill a god-speed spider that’s hanging at two times my height, you’re wrong.

My second bug encounter this week was with a giant bee on the window inside my cousin’s room. We were trying to play Roblox together so we needed to get rid of the bee somehow. Our first idea was to swat it and kill it but we didn’t trust our aim with the fly swatter so our next plan was to remove the net from the window beside the window that the bee was on to free it. Unfortunately, bees aren’t quite smart enough to tell if there is a net blocking a window or not, so the bee remained inside the room despite it having a big enough escape route. We didn’t have any more options so we resorted to swatting it. I had my cousin do the dirty work and kill it. He swatted the bee but its corpse tumbled onto my cousin’s bed. Since he killed half of the extermination, I had to do the cleaning half of the extermination. My original plan was to pick up the supposedly dead body with a paper towel, but I saw that shit’s wings MOVING and I decided that I needed a new plan because I was not getting near that thing no matter what. My new plan was to use the fly swatter to sweep the corpse from a distance onto the floor and then I could use a broom and sweep it into the dustpan to finish the job. When I flicked it across the bed with the swatter, it didn’t quite work as well which freaked the shit out of me because I thought the bee was going to revive itself and sting me. My next flick got it off the bed and I followed through with the rest of my plan.

The worst encounter I had this week was last night when I walked into my room at 3 AM. In my room, there is this little cobweb, but I wasn’t sure if there was an actual spider lurking in my room or if it was just a random cobweb. When I walked into that room, I noticed that there was a new giant dead bug lying on the cobweb, so I knew the answer to the question. But tell me why I felt something fucking CRAWLING on the back of my arm. I thought it was just a piece of dust or something, but when I turned on the light while I flailed my arm just in case, I saw a spider FLYING across the room. I was contemplating whether or not I should kill it because I didn’t have a piece of paper to kill it with and I hate killing bugs with my shoe because it stains the bottom of my shoe. I didn’t get much time to decide because that shit was HOPPING like a bunny across the room and who knows if it would jump on my face next, so I stomped the shit out of the spider. That’s what it deserved for jumping on me. I was about to hop on my bed but then I saw another BIG ASS bug with moving antennae crawl from beneath the door. I was considering leaving it alive but I already killed a bug with my shoe and who knows if the spider ends up on my face while sleeping if I leave it alive to roam around. That’s how I got my second bug kill for the night. I was too tired to go get a napkin to clean the corpses so I left that job for tomorrow-me. Throughout the night in bed, I kept thinking that I was going to get jumped by a spider any moment, keeping me on my toes for a couple of minutes before I fell asleep anyway.

I’m becoming a bit more ruthless with every new bug that attempts to harass me. Although it’s a little annoying to see bugs almost every day around the house, it’s not that bad because I always find them in positions where it’s easy to assassinate them. It’s probably a good thing for me so I can train myself mentally to kill bugs on sight instead of being scared of them. Someone’s gotta kill the bugs in my family, whether it be my current family or future family.

Orthodontists Fucking Suck. (respectfully)

Fuck orthodontists, respectfully.

There’s so many things that I can say about them. I had an orthodontist appointment yesterday and had to travel for about 5 hours back and forth just for one single appointment back in the city. I was REALLY REALLY hoping that I would get my braces off in this appointment so that I wouldn’t have to do a long commute back there again. ?

Unfortunately, “there’s a really small millimeter gap between your top left two teeth.” I was pissed when the orthodontist said, “I think we can get them off before the end of this year.” Last time you said that I could get them off before school started and what actually happened? My braces weren’t taken off and they scheduled another appointment for me with no expectation of removal whatsoever.

I’m just so fucking tired of this bullshit blah blah there’s this tiny gap we have to fix. I don’t trust these doctors anymore.

Luckily, she did follow up by saying that they were going to prepare for my braces to be taken off yesterday. That got my hopes up pretty high so they did the normal routine and adjusted some things before sending me off to the scanning station where they stuck a big stick with a scanner into my mouth and scanned my entire bite/teeth setup. There was a little screen with a live model of my teeth that updated as the nurse was moving the stick around my mouth, which was kind of sick. That was kind of all for yesterday’s appointment. I was really happy to find out that the next appointment would be in 3 weeks rather than the previous 5-week gap between appointments. That also means that if everything goes right, I will have my braces taken off in 3 weeks. Words cannot describe how excited I am to get these braces taken off. I am so done with not just the braces but talking to these orthodontists and them CONSTANTLY destroying my faith in humanity with every appointment.

Also, why do I need my parents to sign a form for them to take off my braces? That is so stupid.
